1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 TB cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Sift dry ingredients together and put into a greased 8x8 baking pan.
Make 3 holes in the dry mixture
Drop 1 tsp vanilla in one hole
1 tsp white vinegar in another
3 TB salad oil in third hole
Pour 1 cup water over all and mix well.
Bake 30-40 min, 350 degrees.
Frost in pan with chocolate frosting.

- "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency.
- Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting.
